Poisonous to Horses

Toxic parts and chemical: toxicity known for
over 100 years, but the chemical involved is
still unknown. All parts are poisonous in dry or
fresh state

Symptoms of Poisoning: if exposure for a short
period photosensitivity occurs. If prolonged
horses develop “big liver disease” then
neurological symptoms appear such as  
disorientation, walking in circles, head-
pressing, jaundice and loss of weight.
